Georgia's Single Statewide Accountability System (SSAS) includes an
Accountability Profile for every public school and school system in the state.
The Accountability Profile is composed of:
An absolute performance determination, based on Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP).
A Performance Index based on annual growth in academic achievement as measured
by statewide assessments.
Performance Highlights which provide recognition for schools and school systems
based on academic related indicators.
This system's performance on the three components is presented
below.

2) Performance
Index
The Performance Index shows two components for each school: the percent of
schools with the greatest gains and the highest percentage of students meeting
and exceeding standards. Criteria were developed utilizing 2011 CRCT (grades
1-8 in Reading, ELA, Math, Social Studies, Science) compared to 2010 CRCT
(grades 1-8 in Reading, ELA, Math, Social Studies, Science) and 2011 GHSGT
(grade 11 first time test takers - English Language Arts, Math, Science, and
Social Studies) to 2010 GHSGT (grade 11 first time test takers - English
Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies). Criteria will be based on
Full Academic Year (FAY) students.

Students Meeting and Exceeding Standards Award:
This information
reflects the 2011-2010 State Report Card data which includes data for all
students, not just Full Academic Year (FAY) students. Performance Highlights
list the academic measurements for this school system that meet or exceed
80%.
